Seabrook Island

Edged by serene, unspoiled beaches and breeze swept dunes, Seabrook Island is a private, gated community offering beautiful single family homes as well as condos and townhomes, scattered along its picturesque beaches and golf greens. Whether looking for a second home or a primary residence, as soon as you pass the gates, you will feel like a heavy weight has been lifted off of your shoulders and your every breath just got a little deeper and clearer.  Every day on Seabrook Island begins and ends with majestic sunrises and sunsets over the Atlantic Ocean and tidal marshlands that meander gently through gorgeous woodland.

Like other Lowcountry towns, Seabrook Island is rich in history, from pirate tales, to Revolutionary skirmishes and the Civil War, to contemporary times. The island is named after Robert Seabrook, a successful businessman, landowner and politician who landed at Charles Town from England in 1679 and was once convicted of trading with pirates. Despite his fortunes, his descendants sold the island for worthless Confederate paper in 1863. It changed hands several times more before town incorporation in 1987.

An advantage of buying a property on Seabrook Island is being a member of the Seabrook Island Club, which is the center of dining, social and athletic activities.  Members and their guests enjoy two championship golf courses, a tournament grade tennis club, a large scale equestrian center and a health and fitness facility.
