Johns Island

Originally a farming community where cotton, rice and indigo served as the island's main exports, Johns Island has become one of the more popular islands to relocate to due to the community's proximity from the city of Charleston, as well as the affordability of homes and more available land. As a result, this farming community is quickly turning into a lovely suburban community.  Most of Johns Island's real estate options include waterfront properties, single-family homes, horse farms, townhomes and condos, as well as parcels of land for future real estate development.

Residents have easy access to downtown Charleston as well as the beaches of Kiawah. If a boating enthusiest, there are several marinas and boat launches.  As the town continues to grow, more and more restaurants are being established, including the famous Tattooed Moose.
